Our Story
RAGMAN is part of Waste Fibres (2020) Ltd. Originating from Waste Fibres Industries Ltd, a company that began on the Petone foreshore, 30-32 Waione St back in 1937 by original founder Jack Willis. John Masseurs Senior took over in the Nineteen Eighties with son, John Masseurs Junior. Originally Waste Fibres lived up to its name recycling textiles making Underfelt, Cotton Waste, Furniture Blankets, Cushion Filling and supplying Cleaning Cloth. John Masseurs senior (Johnny Muscles) passed away in 1997 after over thirty years of management and John Masseurs Junior carried on the family business. Andrew Masseurs joined John Masseurs Junior in 1995. The business went through a change in 2003 due to a large fire, changing times and competition from overseas imports. Moving to Wingate the business grew from strength to strength hiring up to forty staff, operating the factory as well as two recycled clothing mega stores (Rebound Clothing). John Masseurs Junior retired in 2020 after over thirty years of management, with Andrew Masseurs seeing the business through a restructure, new name in RAGMAN and a concerted effort on supplying quality cleaning cloth to the New Zealand public and businesses. Now situated at 22 Peterkin Street, Wingate, Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand.
